One by One: Amway Ukraine

Amway Ukraine participates in the Amway/UNICEF pan-European partnership.
More than 65,000 of Ukraine's 9 million children live in state-run institutions, primarily due to parental abandonment. Amway works with UNICEF in Ukraine to establish Mother and Child Centers to prevent mothers from abandoning their newborns. The program serves as an early warning system to identify mothers who are at risk of leaving their babies after birth and provides support to the mother after the baby is born.
Amway Ukraine also supports the 'Chestnut Run' charity marathon benefiting young patients at the Center of Cardiology and Cardiosurgery of the Health Ministry of Ukraine. More than 8,000 runners throughout Ukraine participate to support children who need surgery to cure a heart defect. All funds are donated to purchase necessary medicine, equipment and daily inventory.
Through the Yedinstvennaya Charity Foundation Road to Success program, Amway Ukraine supports teenage orphan children who are preparing for life outside the walls of the children's home, in a new unfamiliar environment, without teachers or guardians. The goal of "Road to Success" is to educate and prepare teenagers to live independently in a competitive environment.
The Golden Heart is another project supported by Amway Ukraine, the Yedinstvennaya Charity Foundation and Your Child Magazine. The project acknowledges and rewards Ukrainian professionals who devote their time, work and heart to children. The project is covered in each monthly issue of Your Child magazine and winners are selected by readers.
