One by One: Amway Thailand

Amway Thailand brings new smiles to children born with cleft palates through their partnership with Operation Smile (link to Operation Smile missions story). Amway Thailand employee and ABO volunteers serve as non-medical assistants to Operation Smile team, and provide comfort to the patients and their families. To date, 1,135 Thai children have received free-of-charge reconstructive surgery through Amway Thailand-sponsored Operation Smile missions

Through One Voice Brightens the World, Amway Thailand offers blind children an opportunity to “read” by providing them with recorded book readings performed by ABOs. A group of 450 ABOs and employees have worked together to record 42 audio books for children, with 90,000 copies of audio books distributed to 100 organizations for the blind.

In the wake of the Southeast Asia Tsunami, Amway Thailand, their employees and ABOs came together to help those impacted by the devastation. Donations from ABOs, employees and the public were matched by Amway Thailand, raising a total of $228,813 USD to help the victims and provide scholarships for 459 students impacted by the disaster.
