One by One: Amway Slovenia

- Partnering with UNICEF to support child survival in developing countries through UNICEF’s Immunization Plus Program
- Supporting the Ljubljana Medical Center’s Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care department to provide much needed medical equipment
- Through Amway Europe's support of UNICEF's work in Kilifi, immunization of children under the age of one will increase from 40 percent to 70 percent by December 2007
- Raising funds for UNICEF through sales of holiday cards and online donations
- Sponsored UNICEF Slovenia’s farewell game for the Slovenian Golden Football National Team in June of 2006, raising funds for children in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Sponsors UNICEF’s “Speak up! – Let’s talk about violence among children” campaign, designed to bring attention to the issue of violence between children
- As part of UNICEF’s “with the ball against the violence” campaign, Amway Slovenia donated 5,650 balls to Slovenia elementary schools
- Purchased five handmade dolls at the UNICEF auction, which helped UNICEF raise a total of nearly $10,000 USD
Since 2003, through Amway’s Pan-European partnership with UNICEF, more than 90,000 children have been immunized against the diseases that most threaten young lives
RecognitionIn 2005, UNICEF Slovenia presented Amway Slovenia with its prestigious "Best Donor of the Year Award". The award recognized Amway Slovenia’s total 2005 contributions to UNICEF of $31,000 raised through Tsunami donations, Christmas card sales, the adopt-a-doll program and the company’s sponsorship of the farewell match of the Slovenian national soccer team to raise funds for children in Slovenia and Bosnia.
