- China Volunteer Education Aid Program: Amway China has sponsored 340 volunteer post graduate students from 21 renowned Chinese universities to teach in underprivileged and remote areas in western China, benefiting over 170,000 students since the program began in 2002.
- Hope School Project: Amway China has helped to build 14 Hope Schools throughout China, mainly in poor regions, benefiting over 4,000 students.
- Operation Smile: Amway worked with Operation Smile and contributed $125,000 USD, providing free surgery to 188 kids with cleft mouths
- PingAn Orphanage Foster Home: the foster home cares for disabled children from public orphanages, who stay while medical treatment is sought, and are cared for before and after surgery.
- Amway Volunteerism: to make a collective contribution in the communities where they do business, Amway China calls on Sales Representatives (SRs) to join local volunteer chapters throughout China. SR volunteers give generously of their time and talents to ensure that Amway China's One by One programs impact as many children as possible.
Our results
- ACCL has spent approximately $1 million USD on the China Volunteer Education Aid Program, which is on-going and impacts 50,000 children annually. Recent college graduates volunteer to teach in remote areas, alleviating faculty shortages while gaining invaluable teaching experience. In addition to being sponsored by Amway, the volunteers have access to Amway China's volunteer fund, which they can use in any way they deem neccesary to help the children they teach. Volunteer teachers have built bathrooms, drilled wells, bought quilts to improve the children’s living conditions; and arranged activities to broaden their horizons, such as campus art festivals, sports games and university visits.
- Amway China has spent over $40,000 to renovate the campus facilities of the Hope Schools, including classroom buildings, computer labs, auditing labs and reading rooms.
- Once the children served by Ping An have recovered from their surgeries, they are often adopted into loving families immediately.
