Our partnerQuixtar Canada takes its corporate citizenship seriously – both locally and nationally. Supporting the corporate mission of “Helping People Live Better Lives,” Quixtar Canada supports a number of initiatives, contributing financial support and human resources for those causes that fit with the company’s overall corporate philosophy.
Our major One by One partner is Easter Seals Canada. Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives for more than 80 years. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.
Quixtar Canada is also proud to support these other worthy endeavors:
- United Way: Quixtar Canada and its employees have been strong supporters of the United Way of London and Middlesex, raising more than $550,000 over the years.
- Junior Achievement of London & District: Quixtar Canada supports local programs such as Economics of Staying in School (ESIS), London Business Hall of Fame and Evening of Excellence
- Child Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) Fashion Show: Quixtar supports this annual event through the donation of gifts.
- Dream Lifestyles Lottery: Quixtar provides prizes for this lottery, which supports the London Health Sciences Centre, the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario, and St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre London.
- Fanshawe College Fashion Awards: Quixtar Canada sponsors an annual award for the student with the best fashion and design portfolio in Fanshawe College’s Fashion and Design Program,
- Investing in Children Community Service Club program: a local student-group designed to promote environmental and community awareness and activity. In partnership with Quixtar’s Environmental Committee, students have participated in Earth Week London Clean & Green school clean-ups, tree planting, and educational tours of Quixtar Canada’s Naturalized Area and Compost Food Bank Garden.
We also participate in annual events including the Parkinson’s Foundation Tulip Bed of Hope, the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Drive, Koats for Kids, Phones-for-Food, Goodwill Industries, Business Cares Food Drive and London Cares Curbside Food Drive.
As a member of the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), Quixtar Canada has dedicated a portion of its land to the development and continued maintenance of a naturalized area and butterfly meadow. As part of this venture, Quixtar hosts a Plant A Row, Grow A Row garden on-site operated by the St. Leonard’s Society, an organization that provides opportunities for challenged youth. All fresh produce grown is donated to the London & Area Food Bank.
How we helpQuixtar Canada's partnership with Easter Seals Canada is supported through a variety of programs and initiatives:
- Quixtar Canada is a National Supporting Sponsor for the Easter Seals Drop Zone, an exciting event allowing average Canadian superheroes the chance to raise funds and trade in their suits and briefcases for helmets and harnesses to rappel down tall buildings in major urban centers.
- Our ongoing Beauty Begins with Heart program donates proceeds from the sale of selected ARTISTRY® branded items to Easter Seals Canada.
- Independent Business Owners and customers have the opportunity to support Easter Seals through online donations directly from the Quixtar website.
As a result of our efforts to date, Quixtar Canada was honored with the Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA) 2005 Making a Difference award. The award recognized Quixtar Canada’s commitment to community service efforts and making a profound difference in people’s lives across Canada.
