UNICEF Corner, Vienna

On June 26, 2006, the UNICEF Corner was unveiled at the Amway European Experience Center (AEEC). Ing. Heinz Lehner, Regional Director and Mag. Harald Maier, Head of Marketing & Sales for UNICEF Austria, along with Austrian Amway UNICEF supporters, Eva Nusshold and Anja Schwarz-Viereck were all there to celebrate with many special guests and employees of Amway Austria.

The UNICEF Corner is a permanent display at the AEEC that features current UNICEF projects. Every visitor to the AEEC – during the last year there were more than 19,000 visitors from 21 European countries – will see the UNICEF Corner and learn about the problems of children in the poorest regions of the world.

Amway’s goal for the corner is to not only educate visitors as to the needs of children around the world, but also to collect donations for UNICEF. Every three months there will be another UNICEF activity featuring another child that has been given a chance for a brighter future through Amway and UNICEF’s partnership. The personal history of this child is summarized on a flyer so that the visitor’s can carry home a tangible reminder of the good work their donations are doing.
