Jonathan Wilson-Fuller, New South Wales
Jonathan Wilson-Fuller is a remarkable young man. A published poet and writer who began his college studies at the age of 14, his imagination takes him places some will never see. While Jonathan takes regular journeys to exotic locations in his mind, in reality, he has not been able to venture outside his home since the age of 10.Jonathan suffers from wide-ranging physical disabilities, including a severe intolerance to minute levels of ingested and inhaled chemicals – a level of intolerance seldom found anywhere in the world. He is confined to two atmosphere-controlled rooms and despite living in constant pain with physical problems which render him immobile most of the time, has a wonderful optimism and love of life.
Jonathan and his family have not let his disabilities keep him from interacting with others. He talks with people through a special window equipped with a microphone. People from all walks of life and of all ages have shared conversations with Jonathan through this window into his world.
Dr David Suzuki, the world renowned environmentalist, refers to Jonathan as “my hero,” and Lord Yehudi Menuhin, the distinguished violinist, calls him "the conscience of mankind.” Jonathan has captured the hearts and minds of countless people with his enormous courage, unfailing humor and indomitable spirit.
To make things a little easier for Jonathan and his family, Amway Australia provides them with the LOC they need to keep their home clean and chemical-free.
